Project Manager

$100,000 / year range depending on experience

At Devex, a Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction of high-end single family residential projects. The position reports to the Owner. This position requires working with the team in order to meet or exceed project goals related to the design, construction and quality of the project. The Project Manager will be expected to work closely with the project superintendent(s) to maintain and adhere to project construction schedules, budgets, plans, quality control measures and safety practices.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Working with onsite superintendent to coordinate trades and manage schedules
  • Establishing and maintaining working professional relationships with the project design team, engineers, company field and office personnel, subcontractors, vendors and governmental agencies overseeing the project.
  • Reviewing plans, generating scopes and obtaining bids (purchasing)
  • Assuming a leadership role in overseeing the preparation of the construction documents
  • Administering contracts between Owner clients and Owner and Subcontractors and Vendors
  • Managing value engineering efforts and purchasing for projects
  • Preparing and processing all paperwork and documents to Owner, project design team and subcontractors in a timely and complete manner
  • Reporting to the Owner with project management duties as needed.
  • Interfacing with Real Estate Agents and Buyers
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in architecture, engineering, construction science, or other related fields
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in Colorado managing all phases of construction of single family residential

Skills/Specialized Knowledge

  • Knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, safety practices and ability to read and understand architectural and structural construction documents.
  • Ability to communicate well in English both written and verbally.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe and Apple product applications
  • Strong organization, time-management, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate contracts, manage personnel, meet deadlines and goals, and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a high pace environment
