Grants Pursuit Specialist

Dewberry is seeking a Grants Pursuit Specialist in the Central Florida area to assist project managers in acquiring funding for client's critical infrastructure projects. This candidate must be energetic, organized, and detail oriented. The successful candidate should be familiar with State of Florida funding programs such as FDEP grants (319, Alternative Water Supply Funding, etc.), State Revolving Funds, CDBG Grants and appropriations. Additionally, any experience with Federal funding programs is preferred (WIFIA). The candidate should be able to apply fundamental to advanced concepts and critical thinking skills to analyze project funding options and goals and formulate a plan to meet the needs of the client. The candidate will also monitor progress assist in pay applications and grant compliance. Work requires exercise of discretion and judgment on a regular basis.

Complete financial grant applications and funding plans.
• Prepare and review grant applications for accuracy and compliance prior to submission.
• Research and locate potential funding opportunities
• Post grant award management and grant compliance
• Prepare power points and present to the clients funding strategy
• Assist with strategic planning activities and project pursuits
• Conducts and compiles quantitative data for trend analysis, linear regression, simulation and predictive models, ratios, and other statistical models for grant applications
• Handle sensitive information with complete discretion
• Understand funding priorities and goals
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration or related field. MBA preferred.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Ability to read plans and understand project intent.
• Grant coordination experience.
• Familiarity with NEPA process.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledge of MS Project is a plus.
• Interest in learning the civil engineering industry, which will allow for growth potential.
• Must have a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.
• Must be flexible and able to adapt quickly to various tasks and changing demands.
• Ability to work independently while following instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
