Job Description
Dewberry is currently seeking a Construction Manager for its Denver, CO office.
The Construction Management position will be responsible for the management of water, wastewater, utility, heavy civil, and building project and design construction oversight in the Denver/Northern Colorado area. The CM will perform tasks such as on-site project/construction management, construction inspection, project coordination, project controls, and contract administration. The CM must be flexible, client focused, and capable of working independently under the supervision of the department manager.
Candidates will be required to spend much of their time on construction sites.

Responsibilities
- Monitor contractor operations for compliance with contract plans, specifications, and contractual obligations
- Coordinate and schedule various phases of construction inspection with the project team and other agencies
- Oversee traffic control, SWMP implementation/inspections, and various permit compliance
- Proactive approach to identifying field issues and conflicts while coordinating solutions with supervisor and the project team
- Collaborative approach to working in a team that includes the owner, designer, contractor, and various stakeholders
- Prepare and process project documentation, including RFI’s, submittals, quantity tracking/reconciliation, field directives, and contract change orders
- Document all field activities through the use of CM cloud based software, GNSS/GIS mapping, aerial drone technology, and special inspections
- Project schedule analysis and use of Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project or equivalent
- Conduct weekly progress meetings, meeting minutes, and project documentation
- Create weekly and monthly project reports
- Perform punchlist management, warranty review, and project closeout
- Work in a timely fashion to meet project requirements
- Communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and agency staff. Additional requirements include excellent communications skills, ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required.
Required Skills & Required Experience
- B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering required
- 6 years of experience in Construction Management and Project Administration
- Knowledge of engineering and construction principles related to water, wastewater, pipeline, building, and road/bridge construction.
- Ability to ensure compliance with and follow standard safety practices and procedures common to construction work.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and develop effective conclusions
- Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, clients, and the public
- Ability to aid in project budgets, proposals, and manage job costs
- Ability to communicate with clients and the public and respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and community members
- Must be able to work in a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at one time.

Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.

Salary Range
The projected range for this position is $110,000-$148,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
