Dewberry is seeking a GIS Senior Consultant for our Denver, CO office. It’s a superb opportunity for an experienced GIS professional to join an expanding solutions team at a leading geospatial firm.
Dewberry’s Geospatial & Technology Services (GTS) group delivers geospatial solutions for government and private sector clients using a variety of commercial and open-source tools. We’re looking for a GIS Consultant to help sell and deliver projects that include GIS web applications, geospatial analytics, spatial data management, process automation and solutions architecture. Responsibilities
The new GIS Consultant will:
- Support the sale and delivery of technical projects through proposal writing and task management
- Coordinate closely with the group’s Technical Lead regarding solution architecture, project scope and effort
- Coordinate closely with Project and Program managers regarding progress, schedule, deliverables and workload
- Capture and refine technical and functional requirements
- Be comfortable hosting and facilitating meetings with customers and partners
- Be able to understand and articulate technical and geospatial subject matter
- Support deployed solutions, including hosted solutions on DimensionalView® - Dewberry’s geospatial platform-as-a-service
- Interact with customers virtually and in person to communicate progress and demonstrate solutions
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Be technically competent with web and desktop GIS, and spatial data management
- Have good geospatial industry awareness and be willing to attend and present at industry events
Required Skills & Required Experience
We’re interested in the following skills and experience (you don’t need to have them all to apply):
- Knowledge of/Experience with Esri’s full suite of products
- Knowledge of/Experience with open source and FOSS4G products
- Knowledge of/Experience with remote sensing, lidar and imagery service
- Knowledge of/Experience with cloud services (AWS and Azure)
- Experience with Software or Platform-as-a-Service offerings
- Agile project delivery
- GISP or equivalent certification
- PMP or equivalent certification
Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
The projected range for this position is $91,000-$139,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
