Dewberry is seeking a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our Corporate Accounting & Finance Department at our headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia.
Dewberry is looking for a high performing Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis to join its Corporate Finance team and have an immediate impact. Your core responsibility will be to work with key stakeholders within Finance and across the organization, to lead reporting, forecasting, and top-line metrics integration. Candidates will have outstanding partnership and communication skills, handle multiple priorities, possess deep attention to detail, an unrelenting drive to get to the answer, and the ability to thrive in the ambiguity and open space that comes in a fast-growing organization. Candidates will also be required to lead the Power BI development program and promote adoption throughout the whole organization, including finance and operation groups.
- Develop and lead the financial data analytics group
- Develop and conduct Power BI training programs for finance and accounting team
- Supports budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes
- Perform financial analysis by using various analytics tools such as Business Intelligence, data mining or forecasting
- Analyze trends of key indicators related to financial and operational metrics and identify root causes of variations
- Design and monitor creation and implementation of Power BI management reports
- Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives
- Evaluate processes and reports to drive efficiencies and support automation efforts
- Analyzes the opportunity for implementing technology solutions by quantifying potential savings and value addition
- Participates in the development, modification, and review of accounting systems, reporting methods, and controls.
- Implements mechanisms to monitor and evaluate processes for continuous quality & efficiency improvement
- Support corporate strategic financial goals as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and or Finance
- C.P.A. or MBA preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience supporting the finance function
- Minimum 3 years of data analytics using Power BI
- Minimum 3 years of team leading experience
- Experience with Government Contracting would be a plus
- Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic, task-oriented, reliable, with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
