Construction Superintendent

Supervise the field operation's of a project, including its organization, planning, scheduling, material usage, workforce utilization, and subcontractors' work, in a manner that results in completion of a project on time, on budget, and a quality that meets or exceeds DeWees Construction's and the customer's expectations.

• Report to Project Manager or company owner.
• Dial into the prints and specifications to know every detail in depth, better than anyone on the project.
• Work with Subcontractors and Project Manager to establish and maintain job schedule.
• Plan and coordinate project start-up
• Obtain all permits and inspections.
• Order or requisition materials, supplies, tools, and schedules equipment rentals
• Inspect and confirm the quality, and correct quantities of all deliveries by our company and from the owner.
• Conduct pre-job meetings and weekly progress meetings with major sub-contractors
• Maintain field P.O. and Rental Log
• Monitor job site safety and take appropriate action to address and correct deficiencies
• Collect and process daily reports
• Continually inspects work progress, equipment, and construction site to maintain compliance with contract specifications and company quality and safety standards
• Takes immediate and appropriate action to correct any potential safety hazards
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of field personnel and sub-contractors
• Schedule weekly work load needs of subcontractors
• provide on site layout as needed for all trades.
• Insure adequate man power for each trade are on site daily.
• Sometime field work is required, to set the example, be willing to wear you tool belt on occasions if needed.
• Good carpenter skills / knowledge are a must.
• Oversee the work of each subcontractor for quality, and needed output quantity.
• Conduct weekly "Tool Box Talks" and maintains all associated reports
• Investigate and report any accidents to Safety Director, and Project Manager
• Maintain and ensure all equipment, vehicles, and machinery is operating properly and safely, arrange for repairs and/or replacements as necessary
• Report labor time and sign off on all time sheets
• Represent Company at all times with professionalism and a commitment to quality
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to include health, safety, and welfare as appropriate
• Regular and reliable attendance at work
• Other duties as assigned by Company Management

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in field construction
• OSHA 30 Hour Certification preferred
• Previous Commercial Construction Supervision experience a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
