This position is primarily responsible for leading the efforts of the production team, ensuring projects are carried out in adherence to Dewey’s company goals and timelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Effectively communicates with the Production Manager; gives feedback regarding personnel, reports any inconsistencies or problems on the production line, gives updates on any safety-related issues, advises if there are issues related to machines.
  • Keeps Product Manager updated on progress of production line.
  • Makes sure that products are produced on time and that quality and other standards are maintained.
  • Ensures the human and material resources are available.
  • Ensures productivity goals and current results are posted and updated on a regular basis.
  • Ensures all food safety policies and procedures are followed properly.
  • Reports food safety and quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate action.
  • Ensures that health and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Motivates and leads a team of workers.
  • Ensures that Production paperwork is completed properly.
  • Understands the sanitation needs of the facility and ensures proper sanitation has occurred on the prescribed schedule.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to operate equipment and knowledge of all jobs on the production floor.
  • Understand quality/food safety requirements and ensure compliance.
  • 1-2 years in previous leadership and/or coach level role
  • Ability to read and communicate in English, required
  • Strong interpersonal skills which include, ability to manage conflict resolution and stay calm under pressure
  • Ability to lead a team in a manner consist with Dewey’s Culture
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills, such as Microsoft word, excel, outlook are required
  • Bi-lingual, preferred

  • Regularly required to view items at an extremely close range and must be able to adjust and readjust focus.
  • Frequently lifting boxes and bag ingredients weighing between 20 and 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:
  • Regularly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration.
  • The noise level is usually moderate with equipment noise below 85 decibels.
  • Area temperature range is 75 to 90 degrees.
