DATA ARCHITECT

Digital Intelligence Systems, LLC dba Dexian DISYS seeks Data Architects (5) in McLean, VA to

1. Gather requirements from stakeholders on upstream-related master data products and identify required data pipelines and reference data products;
2. Create recommendations on build/buy for reference data products;
3. Develop database solutions with respect to ingestion/curation/analysis architecture;
4. Use stakeholder requirements to generate conceptual data models;
5. Use ER/Studio software to create conceptual and logical data models;
6. Manage timelines for the data management team;
7. Provide Python support for data pipeline creation;
8. Use existing Machine Learning (ML) tools to resolve similar data values (using either cosine similarity, Levenshtein similarity, or other distance-based techniques);
9. Conduct Architectural reviews;
10. Define data quarantine and reconciliation procedures for mismatched data;
11. Work on an agile-based project and co-ordinate deliverables with the data engineers and data modelers;
12. Define data transformation requirements;
13. Create and review Python data pipelines;
14. Provide oversight for data pipeline testing and resiliency;
15. Ensure customer quality processes and standards are followed and provide recommendations for additional best practices.

Bachelor's degree or the foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronic Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field and eight (8) years of experience in a software development occupation. Experience in a software development occupation must include the following:

• 7 years of experience with data architecture and data engineering;
• 7 years of experience utilizing multiple data sources, including SQL, APIs and spreadsheets;
• 5 years of experience with development of JSON, REST API's.
• 5 years of experience with SQL server, Snowflake, ER/Studio or other modern data warehouses/planning tools.
• 5 years of experience with Python
• 7 years of experience utilizing Agile methodologies or iterative development processes.

Any and all experience may be gained concurrently. Part-time telecommuting is permitted. Travel and work in various unanticipated work locations in the US, to be determined by employer.
