Position Summary
- Develops and monitors progress of manufacturing and outsourcing schedule, ensuring alignment with Plant and Corporate strategic objectives. Monitors and reports on performance toward achieving KPI’s.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages demand planning and forecasting for production scheduling to ensure an uninterrupted supply of customer products and to maximize efficient operations and production.
- Audits operational procedures and programs to identify and implement improvements resulting in increased efficiencies and productivity.
- Evaluates past performance data to forecast needs and production levels. Prepares, reports and communicates forecast and other measurements.
- Develops, implements and/or influences best practices in the disciplines of forecasting and production planning.
- Develops and leads continuous improvement opportunities across the planning function.
- Set targets and communicates business results and KPIs.
- Champions the expanded use of technology and lean principles to improve planning, decision making, and execution.
- Works with all stakeholders to continuously improve performance through linking systems and people across the value chain.
- Reviews planning strategy and recommends applicable changes.
- Develops scheduling to establish sequence and lead times of manufacturing operations.
- Analyzes material and capacity availability to provide customer promise dates for sales orders.
- Maintains item master lead time information based upon process improvements, current constraints, total current demand by product, and priority information.
- Interfaces with required functional groups to resolve challenging delivery requirements.
- Supports operations to meet performance objectives.
- Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.

- Scheduling or Purchasing experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility
- MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in Inventory management and control techniques
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- Strong computer skills including use of ERP systems and MS Office applications (Word & Excel).
Education and Experience
Requires a minimum of 3-5 year’s work experience in fields of inventory control, material planning, and scheduling. Minimum High School education required, Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
