As a Cleaner, reporting to the Supervisor, you will ensure a sanitary environment, securing and maintaining tools/equipment used to perform the day to day work and performing other duties as assigned or requested. This position is 45 minutes daily at the local branch.
Specific Responsibilities & Duties:
- Maintaining the floors, washrooms and garbage bins of the facility
- Cleaning and sanitizing that includes washrooms, common and entrance areas
- Replenishing any used or missing supplies (toilet rolls, hand towels, hand soap)
- Dusting all visible surfaces within reach which includes phone booths, counter tops, pillars, lighting fixtures, window ledges and vents
- Spot cleaning all lobby floors and wash thoroughly as required
- Vacuuming all entrance mats in lobbies
- Maintaining the floors; vacuuming as needed and damp mopping small areas of hard surface floors
- Cleaning and sanitizing that includes washrooms, common and entrance areas
- Replenishing any used or missing supplies (toilet rolls, hand towels, hand soap)
- Dusting office cubicles
- Cleaning and polishing chrome and other polished metal surfaces
- Spot cleaning walls, partitions, light switches and doors, window sills
- Mobile cleaning, moving from site to site following routes provided
General cleaning, including, but not limited to: trash removal; dusting; cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices, ATM rooms, lobbies, conference rooms; sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming floors; window washing; buffing floors; disinfecting; stripping and waxing floors; carpet cleaning; carpet spot cleaning; upholstery cleaning; other duties as assigned. Specific duties may vary depending on the List of Specifications required by the client at each location.
- Dust or wipe down check-in counters
- Empties and cleans check-in counters waste baskets
- Spot cleans walls, partitions, light switches and doors, window sills
- Cleans and polishes chrome and other polished metal surfaces
- Cleans partition glass that is within arm’s reach
- Dust baseboards and low air vents
- Damp mops small area hard surface floors
- Vacuuming duties as requested

Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications:
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Able to drive company vehicle from site to site
- High School Diploma would be preferred
- Cleaning experience is considered an asset
- Able to operate cleaning equipment and machine
- Able to clearly communicate with Supervisors, Clients and general public
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work
- Must be able to push/pull and lift 25lbs
- A great attitude!
- Able to read and comprehend short correspondence, memos and SDS sheets
- Smart phones and basic computer skills required
- WHIMIS certified (Training can be supplied)
- A clear criminal background check and security clearance is required for this role.
