Designation :

  • The Materials Handler ensures proper and timely flow ofall materials and products from arrival until stored or shippedfollowing established policies and procedures.
  • Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved inthe shipping receiving order fulfillment storing and distributingof materials parts supplies and equipment while following policiesprocedures and safety regulations.

Core Responsibilities :

  • Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase ordersor invoices
  • Maintains records of receivedgoods and rejects unsatisfactory items
  • Examines stocks and distributes materials in inventoryand on manufacturing lines
  • Prepares andmaintains records of merchandise shipped
  • Demonstrates all safety policies andprocedures
  • Posts weights and shipping chargesand prepares goods for final shipment
  • Demonstrates all safety policies andprocedures
  • Other responsibilities asassigned
  • Regular consistent and punctualattendance is required. May need to work nights and weekendsvariable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Specifications :

  • Education : A Secondary Certificate / HighSchool Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education andwork experience that will allow successful performance of jobexpectations.
  • Certifications : Vocationaltraining apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in relatedfield
  • Years Experience : 2 years or more ofrelevant experience

Skills :

  • Ability to write communicate and utilize mathskills
  • Skilled in using powered industrialtrucks material handling equipment and small hand tools
  • Basic computer skills
  • Capable ofoperating within structured / supervised environment and followwritten and oral instructions with little supervision
