- Lead and supervise a team of cost engineers, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary
- Develop and implement cost engineering strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate cost estimation and control throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project budgets and cost plans
- Conduct analysis and evaluation of project costs, identifying potential risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Perform cost forecasting and variance analysis to track project performance and ensure adherence to budget constraints
- Provide cost engineering expertise and guidance during the bidding and proposal process to ensure accurate cost estimation and competitiveness
- Review and approve cost estimates, change orders, and contractor invoices to ensure compliance with project specifications and budget constraints
