Job Description
Position Overview: The Quality control Specialist will work under the general direction of the Quality manager and be responsible for the overall internal quality within the Carpet Division. The QC Specialist will assure that the customer requirements are met through production to maintain customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
• Support product quality and manufacturing failure investigations.
• Responsible for assuring product conformance to Customer specifications by Supervising Inspectors.
• Assists in disposition of non-conforming product.
• Assures coordinating and or performing in-process testing activities, analysis of inspection results and corrective action when discrepancies are encountered.
• Plans inspection and testing workloads for Inspectors in accordance with overall production schedules.
• Review all quality issued standards and instructions both physical and written for clarity and effectiveness. Provide for interpretation and orientation for the Inspectors and production personnel.
• Assure the preparation and maintenance of quality instructional materials and standards such as inspection instructions, sample display boards, gage operational procedures and other methods to provide understanding and application to manufacturing and quality personnel.
• Review all non-conforming products; assisting in disposition of product for re-work, sort or scrap.
• Maintain accurate and up to date inspection and test records as prescribed by the quality control plan and quality policies and procedures.

• Upholds the compliance of Inspectors to follow safety rules and practices
• Assists in quality orientation and training programs for Inspectors.
Requirement
• Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree a plus (Non-major specific)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Creative problem solving abilities and results oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills.
