What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Representative - On Site position at Diagnostic Clinic Medical Group?
What Will Be Your Purpose
(This is NOT a remote position) The Patient Access Representative is responsible for fluent operation of the front desk area through interaction with patients, families, physicians and other clinic staff and aid, as needed. Greet incoming patients with courtesy and promptness; verify biographical, demographic and insurance information and process updates in a timely manner as needed while providing excellent customer service. Accurately registers new patients and collects all past due balances and co-payments. Schedules all appointments per orders and hands out all required paperwork to patient while maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with patient's information. Make appointments and send messages to the clinical staff when necessary. You may be required to transport patients in wheelchairs within the clinic. Arrive and check-out patients, print lab and referral orders for outside Providers and enter Referral request when needed.

What You Will Be Doing

Patient Access major duties, additional duties may be assigned

eCheck-in -Accurately review and update all required demographic information, eligibility for insurance discrepancy, collect and post all copays and balances, scan all updated documents. Arrive all patients within the time limit. Follow the late arrival policy.

Check-out- Schedule all patients using the Providers orders, enter all required referrals, monitor your Jellybeans for messages, schedule bumped patients, reschedule all "no show" patients and check out all patients at the end of each day.

Review all new patients account for discrepancy, log on to your Kiosk and help patients with the NP process, upload medical history, collect any copays, arrive and educate the patients on our modalities and processes and assist patients with Portal password setup.

Special Projects- Post all money bag charges from accounting, Upload all kiosks updates, correct all unposted monies, track all Telehealth arrivals and call patients with discrepancy on their TLH visits, work on "No-Show" reports and help with any other area of Patients Access as needed.

Able to assist and cross train in the Patient Service Center to handle any and all incoming calls.
What You Must Have

2 years related work experience

High school diploma or GED
General Physical Demands

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
