Job Posting for Pathology Data Entry Specialist - Full Time Position at Diagnostic Pathology Medical Group, Inc.
Private pathology lab includes data entry positions for specimen processing. The data entry positions require specific computer/data entry skills and thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
Ability to work independently with the current data entry group in a busy setting
Daily handle of contained chemicals, human tissue and fluid
Daily data entry of various accession types
Ability to type efficiently and accurately with little to no errors
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve requisition and specimen bottle issues
Perform data entry quality control to ensure accuracy
Respond to phone calls, emails and other requests
Qualifications:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal to no errors
Ability to multi-task and prioritize with high attention to detail
Must work well in a group setting as well as independently
Professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Typing experience is required
Medical terminology is extremely helpful
Hours: 10:30 am - 7:30 pm or 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm availability - schedule may vary based on training, workload and staffing.
