Shipping Clerk (Ancillary)

Job Summary:

The Shipping/Receiving Ancillary Clerk will be responsible for all shipping-related tasks and working as a backup for loading as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Completes daily tasks such as pallets, ball polishers, wraps, gluing carts, decals, etc..
• Backup duties when necessary for loading include:
• Assists in preparing and verifying accuracy for all items loaded for shipments.
• Loads trucks using a forklift.
• Notifies the Coordinator of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions or other issues.
• Transports materials on shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle as needed.
• Performs other clerical duties as required.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify.
• Basic understanding of warehouse procedures.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• State motor vehicle operator’s permit for operation of forklift highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
• Must be able to stand for shift.
• Must wear safety gear.
