JPOSITION OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for supporting production operations through accurate and timely movement of material. This position will work in our Stockton, CA plant and report to a Department Manager, Shift Supervisor or Key Area Operator.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Must be able to drive an Electric, LP, slip sheet unit and stand-up forklift in a safely manner.
· Responsible for storing away finish goods from shrink and cannery to the Warehouse, scan each tag as he/she is putting the finish goods in the Warehouse location verifying that the pack code, day code and quantity Match the cases and that the location is correct once Done.
· Must have full knowledge of all production, shipping, receiving and warehouse locations.
· Must store FG by FIFO old day code in front and new day code in back of any location.
· Take work orders to production by pack code and lot code requested to dump, re-case etc.
· Consolidate the warehouse locations to make room as time permits.
· Perform cycle count as needed finish goods, packaging, and Ingredients.
· Set up packaging in operations and packaging lines by FIFO, put away packaging as change overs are done.
· Take all warehouse radio calls.
· Put away inbounds from receiving once tagged.
· Stack all finish goods and inbounds in the warehouse straight in a safe manner.
· As time permits go out to the pallet yard sort pallets and load Trailer.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY AND SKILLS:
· Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision.
· Work flexible shifts and schedules including overtime.
· Ability to understand manufacturing processes.
· Documents the condition of the lift by filling out “Forklift Checklist” as required.
· Understand and has reviewed/signed all safe work procedures for the work area.
· Practices safe work procedures and wears all safety and sanitation equipment as required for the job.
· This position requires safety equipment be worn such as, but not limited to, protective footwear, hard hats, and ear plugs. Also, additional items may be required by a supervisor when working in a specific area.
· Must have knowledge of DSI and scan gun system.
· Demonstrate ability to understand the workflow of the department.
· Experience in warehouse consolidations ambient/cold storage skills
· Computer literacy/skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Drive production goals and objectives
· High School Diploma or GED
· Required to work any shift.
· Required to work overtime if necessary.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
· The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
· Meet standard levels II and III
DESIRED SKILLS:
· Food industry experience
· Prior experience in Shipping
- Training programs in safety.
- Experience with basic Microsoft application (e.g. Word, Excel).
