POSITION SUMMARY:

A Live Event Manager understands what it takes to deliver beyond expectations. You have an attitude that starts with “I will do what it takes” and ends with “on time and budget”. The ideal candidate has a live event background and understands how to scope an idea and bring it to life. Having experience with immersive programs that combine the physical and digital world would be an asset. You are obsessed with creating meaningful experiences and have no problem juggling multiple tasks. You need to be a self-starter and comfortable with ambiguity. You are client-centric and understand how to take client concepts and turn them into actionable and successful events. As a production team member, you will support the team with the logistics, planning, execution, and reporting of assigned programs and events.

This position is a full-time position located in New York City and can be remote with the assumption that you can and are comfortable traveling across North America for events/activations as required.

WHAT YOU DO:

  • Independently lead small to medium-sized projects & events with minimal supervision.
  • Work cross-functionally to support the ideation and creative brainstorming process across the experiential marketing team
  • Take a creative concept and execute it into an experience, as well as develop solutions to generate measurable KPIs for the client
  • Clearly communicate any scope changes or risks that affect production or impact budgets with XM team leadership and/or accounts team
  • Support with negotiating contracts and payment terms (i.e. venues, AV, staging & lighting, scenic and fabrication, talent, hospitality, emerging technologies and artists/designers/engineers, staffing, digital and video producers etc.)
  • Lead the development of multiple event documentation such as budgets, tracking documents, reports, work back schedules,
  • Assist in delivering detailed brand/program training for motivators in-field
  • Provide onsite program management, including load-in/out, logistics management, supervise labor staff and motivators, and be the vendor main point of contact on-site
  • Develop clear and concise post-reporting documents including KPIs and key learnings of all projects
  • Researching, sourcing and securing vendor options, promotional products, and activation concepts
  • Amongst other things…

WHO YOU ARE:

  • A highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Events or the equivalent
  • A minimum of 6-7 years in production in experiential marketing, events, or branded activations
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in execution of marketing, digital, live/ virtual / hybrid activations and related client communications
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, management and organizational skills
  • Goal-oriented, quality-driven workstyle, and commitment to Diamond core values
  • Strong ability to actively listen, ensure understanding, adaptability with a drive to learn
  • Extremely adept in software applications including MS Office, G-Suite, Slack, etc.
  • Background in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) considered an asset
  • Previous Brand Ambassador experience preferred but not required
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • This role does require weekend work and/or off-standard hours based on program execution
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis
  • Bilingual is an asset but not required
