Product Specialist

 

The Product Specialist will serve as the primary technical resource for the Sales Operations Specialists, the Regional Sales Managers, and our dealers. This role is considered a product expert on either product families or the entire product portfolio. This role interfaces with dealers, customers, sales, customer service, engineering, and the factory.

  • Technical Sales Support

  • Dealer training and on-boarding
  • Engineering and sales liaison
  • Sales Operations support and customer engagement

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a product expert that supports the field sales team from a technical perspective.
  • Work closely with the sales team as a technical advisor and product advocate.
  • Conduct training with our sales team on product application and configuration, as needed.
  • Participate in sales calls as a technical expert, as needed.
  • Lead the bid specification writing and response process.
  • Construct basic reach models and diagrams.
  • Utilize Salesforce to identify and advance stuck opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Maintain relationships and strives to provide excellent customer service.
  • Contribute knowledge toward literature and materials to be used in training programs.
  • Document any lessons learned and communicate back to proper channels at Diamond.
  • Serve as onsite coach/expert for demos and in-services when necessary.
  • Lead in-person application reviews with dealers/customers.

All other duties are performed as necessary.

 

Qualifications/Prior Experience (preferred):

  • 2-3 years of technical background with products, hands on experienced operator
  • 1-3 years delivering technical training preferred.
  • Continuous knowledge development when not in a training setting

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Must be proficient in: MS Office, CRM
  • 1-3 years delivering technical training preferred.
  • Continuous knowledge development when not in a training setting
  • Formal presentation skills

Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with DM coworkers, vendors and customers.
  • Coach and mentor others.
  • Physical job requirements for 8-hour shift
  • Analytical and decision-making skills
  • Manage multiple priorities and changing deadlines.
  • Independent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to travel 25%.

Location and Hours:

 

  • Location: Cherokee St
  • Hours: 8:00-5:00
  • Days of Shift: Monday-Friday
