Foreclosure Payoff Reinstatement Legal Assistant

AV Rated Law Firm has an immediate opening for a Reinstatement & Payoff Specialist. This candidate MUST be comfortable working with deadlines, have strong organizational skills, detailed oriented and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment, have an aptitude for technology, customer focused and enjoys a rapidly changing environment.

Candidate must have 1-3 years of office related experience and have worked in a legal or professional services environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Processing requests for reinstatement and/or payoff figures received by borrowers, third parties, clients and attorneys as needed
• Launching various processes in client systems for obtaining reinstatement and/or payoff quotes
• Providing firm’s fees & costs to clients upon request for payoff and/or reinstatement quotes
• Review of incoming reinstatement and/or payoff quotes from servicers and preparation of the outbound letter including all clients’ costs to reinstate or payoff a loan along with the attorney fees and costs thru the expiration date
• Daily review of client systems for Fees & Costs processes and response to same to meet client’s SLA
• Prepare and transmit Reinstatement and Payoff Letters including Post-Judgment Payoff Letters pursuant to firm procedures, the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act rules, state specific legal requirements and individual client guidelines
• Manage pending Reinstatement and Payoff work by work queues and reporting
• Work with file attorneys, clients, and team members for accurate and timely preparation of letters
• Accepts and processes funds according to firm requirements

• Microsoft Office knowledge - particularly Word and Excel, strongly preferred
