We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in New York.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Staff Accountant will assist in monitoring and recording the various revenue streams, in addition to monthly reconciliations and general day to day support for Accounting and Finance team.
You’ll Be
- Performing day-to-day accounting functions including A/P, A/R, GL and bank reconciliation
- Monitoring bank activity daily and records various inflows and outflows of funds, as necessary.
- Reconciling bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Reconciling bank activity to payment processor reports and other system reports on a daily basis.
- Ensuring collection of Form W-9 and prepares Form 1099 filings.
- Preparing all fixed asset financial reports and maintains the fixed asset register.
- Assisting with the monthly financial close, including entering journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and maintaining supporting schedules
- Assisting in the development or improvement of internal controls and corporate procedures
- Proactively identifying areas for process enhancements and partner with other departments on improvements to help achieve scalability and to support new business initiatives
- Providing support for audit requests and ad-hoc reporting requests.
