Position Summary
Responsibilities
Source, quote, negotiate, purchase and execute commodity buys and contracts
Build, manage, and maintain healthy relationships with suppliers.
Research all aspects of each purchasing deal, including alternate products, creative buying, bundling opportunities, new suppliers, and any information needed to gain negotiating leverage and create the best deal possible.
Deliver improved cost of goods to the entire system by staying ahead of trends.
Identify, develop, and execute strategic supply sources.
Issue and complete regular RFP’s – request for proposals and execute regular reviews.
Create weekly commodity and product reports to communicate to owners via all approved communication channels.
Work directly with suppliers to resolve any issues or concerns that may arise during the contract period.
Conduct regular vendor reviews.
Prerequisites
Associate's degree in business or purchasing or related business experience
At least one year's experience in purchasing or buying or negotiating
