The Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to the Transportation department. A typical day will include:
- Providing excellent customer service, answering phones and greeting drivers.
- Building daily transportation schedule and communicate to the driver fleet.
- Communicating with customers on ETA and scheduling changes.
- Asset tracking.
- Coordinating all inbound/outbound shipments.
- Provide seamless coordination between the scale house and shipping / receiving.
- Communicate with department leads to coordinate schedules.
- Provide backup support to in other roles as needed.
- Coordinate payments for rail charges.
- Direct inbound and outbound trucks/containers to the correct places.
- Maintain, complete and organize paperwork (BOLs, shipper/receiving sheets, inbound/outbound loads and steel sheets).
Compensation, Benefits and Hours
- $18 per hour plus performance incentives after 90 days
- Paid time off and holidays
- Hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm M-F and one Saturday per month from 8 am to 12 pm
