The work requires practical skill and knowledge as an Inspector to analyze specifications, check dimensions. The work may require interpreting specifications, blueprints, manufacturers' manuals, sketches or similar documents.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve. Candidate must be able to perform incidental tasks as required to complete the larger task.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Basic knowledge of mathematics, algebra and physics
- (2) years of Inspection experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to:
- Work 630am to 5pm (excluding holidays)
- Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools or assemblies
- Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers and dial indicators, CMMs
- Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes and tolerances of assemblies, based upon specifications

- File, grind, shim and adjust different parts to properly fit them together
- Fit and assemble parts to make, repair or modify jigs, gauges and tools using machine tools and hand tools
- Perform tests with completed tools to ensure that parts meet specifications; make adjustments as necessary
- Lift, position and secure machine parts on surface plates or worktables, using hoists, vises, v-blocks or angle plates
- Design jigs, fixtures and templates for use
- Perform incidental tasks as required to complete the larger task
- Experience operating any of the following Surface Grinders, ID/OD grinders, Centerless Grinders, CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Hones, Bridgeport Mills, Blanchard Grinders. Brown and Sharp CMM, Smart Scope, Keyence.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
