General Job description:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for loading of outbound freight and unloading, storage and organization of product and materials as well as accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders.
Principle functions of the job:
- Adhere to all current Good Manufacturing Practices ("GMP’s"), food safety requirements and company policies
- Receive merchandise by unloading, documenting and properly storing merchandise within warehouse
- Sort product according to specifications including but not limited to product code, size, type or color
- Responsible for inventory transfers between the plant, warehouse and DSD
- Receive merchandise by unloading, documenting and properly storing merchandise within the warehouse
- Assemble orders using documentation to determine items required, moving and distributing merchandise to designated location
- Document and log all required information accurately and timely
- Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for everyone
- Assist in physical count of inventory as needed
- Use material handling equipment as necessary and trained including but not limited to stretch wrapper, pallet jack and fork lift
