Job Overview

Dietzler Construction Corp is presently seeking a Project Engineer/Estimator with a Civil Engineering background in the Denver/Northern Colorado area, for geotechnical and heavy civil construction projects. We are an industry leader with a robust backlog!

This individual may be working on-site with complete accountability managing projects. This role also includes overseeing field personnel and maintaining strong relationships with clients and consultants.

Our business and this position require the candidate to be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, experience in project management/civil or geotechnical engineering/scheduling of projects, the understanding of multi-staged civil and utility field operations, a detailed approach to the business of construction, estimating and quantity takeoff experience on civil operations, excellent communication skills as well as a positive client relationship approach to each day.

This candidate will need to have flexibility to travel overnight got extensive period of time and will become an important part of the Colorado and Wyoming region project management team.

• Subcontractor coordination
• Direct / supervise work of on-site project administrators, engineers, and field managers.
• Value engineering

Compensation and Benefits:

• This is a full-time, salary position. It will require overnight travel 30-50% of the time.

Qualifications

• Must have 2-5 yrs experience in heavy civil earth projects experience is preferred.
• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent substantive work experience required.
• Strong problem-solving skills in stressful situations is essential.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and understand impact of the sum of the parts overall.
• Ability to motivate others in a positive manner while commanding respect and leadership.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw solid conclusions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient in Bluebeam.
• Must be willing to work outside, in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to work weekends as required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Extensive overnight travel availability

Pay

• $110,000/per year DOE
• Field, I position.
