Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Histology Technician to join our team. As a Histology Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing tissue samples in a laboratory setting. Your expertise in laboratory techniques and procedures will contribute to accurate diagnoses and patient care.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine histology procedures, including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting

- Prepare slides for microscopic examination by pathologists

- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments

- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of specimens and chemicals

- Maintain accurate records of tests performed and results obtained

- Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses

- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Skills:

- Proficient in laboratory techniques and procedures related to histology

- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology

- Familiarity with clinical laboratory operations and quality control standards

- Ability to accurately collect, process, and analyze specimens

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals

Requirements:

- Associate's degree or higher in Histotechnology or a related field

- Certification as a Histology Technician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) preferred

- Previous experience working in a histology laboratory is highly desirable
