Production Management Coordinator

Digifabshop is looking for an experienced Production Management Coordinator to join our rapidly expanding team.

Digifabshop specializes in custom architectural interiors, building components, and fine art fabrication. Our work spans retail, hospitality, commercial, architectural features, and large-scale artwork. Our team works on technically ambitious, high-profile projects of complexity and scale.

Digifabshop is looking for an experienced Production Management Coordinator. This this position reports directly to the manufacturing production manager and is primarily responsible for supporting the production department in maintaining production schedules, managing workflows, and providing day-to-day operational support.
The primary duties of this position are performed approximately 75% of the time in an office environment and 25% of the time on the production shop floor.

Hours: (full-time, 40 hrs/wk) M-Th, 8 am – 5 pm | Fr, 8 am – 2:30 pm (regular OT expected included weekends as needed)

Location: This position is located in Albany, NY – onsite work is required

Pay: $24-$28/hr

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Assist in planning and coordinating workflows and resources according to production schedules.
• Coordinate with department supervisors and production team to monitor progress of work and troubleshoot setbacks to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Assist with identifying the sequence of tasks and the resources needed to achieve production goals and look for opportunities to minimize backlogs, or other interruptions.
• Track inventory, manage supplies, and ensure equipment, products processes and functions are well-maintained.
• Maintain accurate records of all production-based activities.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stake holders, clients’ suppliers and develop interdepartmental relationships.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and key action steps required to implement operational improvements.
• Adhere to all workplace and safety regulations, standards, and practices while promoting a culture of safety within the production team.

• Demonstrated computer and software proficiency, specifically with MS Office programs, ERP software such as Netsuite, and related production software programs.
• Basic understanding of purchasing procedures and policies, experience using spreadsheets and ERP type software for planning, tracking and reporting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude required with the ability to read and interpret blueprints strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of fabrication or manufacturing processes with a solid understanding of the relationship between materials, production processes, quality control, costs, workforce, and inventory requirements.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills; ability to consider and process complex data.
• Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills; can effectively interact with all levels of the organization.

• The ability to stand continuously for up to 2 hours at a time.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, fumes, and loud noises. Employees are always required to wear P.P.E. while on the manufacturing floor.
