What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Finance Manager position at Digit?

The Challenge
At Digit, we are on a mission to make financial health effortless for everyone. We are building the world’s first intelligent bank account to help millions of American consumers become financially healthy. Our challenge is clear: managing personal finances is hard. As of 2019, 70% of Americans struggle with at least one aspect of financial stability and over 40% don’t have $400 in their savings account. We believe automation is our path to delivering our mission, and we are working towards it every day.

We have a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive culture and we look for people who are curious, ambitious, and mission-driven. If you're passionate about making an impact and helping real people every day we're excited to meet you!

The Role
As a Senior Finance Manager, you will lead financial forecasting and metrics reporting for Digit’s business, helping to drive product, GTM, and investment decisions. You will own Digit’s financial planning process and model, working across our leadership team to align resources with strategic priorities. You’ll gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment within a public-company setting.

Here are some ways you’ll make an impact:
  • Own Digit’s financial model and build scenarios that help us make strategic decisions and understand where the business is headed.
  • Lead financial planning and budgeting to ensure Digit is operating responsibly and within financial targets.
  • Drive monthly and weekly reporting to be presented to broader company executive team.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to help drive data-driven business decisions.
  • Work with the accounting team to ensure accurate and insightful reporting.

Are you the candidate we are looking for?
  • 5 years of work experience in strategic finance for a high-growth technology company, investment banking, and/or private equity. Experience with consumer SaaS and/or fintech businesses a plus.
  • You are an Excel and data master that lives for building financial models and getting into the weeds on data. You can translate complicated business problems into clear analysis and forecasts that drive insight and action. Strong SQL and data visualization skills a big plus.
  • You are a strategic thought partner and team player. You are eager to share your informed point of view while holding space for curiosity, and keeping an open mind that incorporates feedback from multiple perspectives with first principles thinking.
  • You have incredible attention to detail and exhibit pride in your work. No detail is too small for you to understand but you also don’t get lost in the trees and see the big picture.
  • You are a self-starter who can work effectively across various levels and functions. You get excited about jumping into new challenges and working with people across teams.

Who We Are:
We want to eliminate the stress and anxiety people feel about their finances so they can focus on what’s most important in their lives. We first mastered saving for near-term goals, helping members automatically save over $7 billion. Today, we are harnessing machine learning technology to give our members the first intelligent bank account that manages all of their personal finances.

We’re committed to doing the best work of our lives together. Come see if Digit is right for you.

  • Competitive salary and RSUs
  • 100% paid medical, dental, & vision benefits
  • 100% paid life & disability insurance
  • Fertility reimbursement
  • Daily lunch stipend
  • Internet, commuter, and wellness benefits
