The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Full Stack WordPress Developer who is self motivated and strives to work alongside a talented, innovative team that can quickly adapt to building within proprietary WordPress frameworks and design systems. In this role you’ll be responsible for developing frontend and backend web architecture, working with our design and marketing teams to execute on client goals, and above all, ensuring an excellent user experience.
Full Stack Developers at Digital Impulse see out a project from conception to final product, requiring great organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Develop semantic, responsive, optimized frontend using industry standard CSS/JS frameworks that is accessible and work on all major browsers
- Build custom WordPress themes with both WordPress Gutenberg Blocks and Classic editor
- Develop custom themes with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) and Gutenberg Block components in a flexible, reusable modular component system.
- Exporting visual designs and assets from Figma for development
- Integrations with third party services
- Implement custom backend functionality
- Optimize older sites and systems (frontend and backend)
- QA for industry standard devices and cross browser compatibility
- Work alongside graphic designers to elevate experience through design implementation
- Seeing through a project from conception to finished product
- Scope projects and providing recommendations for alternative solutions
- Stay abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages
- Efficient technical problem solving with an emphasis on business goals and strategies
- 2 years of experience as a WordPress front-end developer
- Exceptional problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Self motivated
- Proficiency and high level experience developing with WordPress Gutenberg blocks, Classic editor, and ACF (Advanced Custom Fields)
- Proficiency with frontend build tools and task runners: npm, gulp, webpack, etc
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JS including cross-browser compatibility and performance.
- Familiarity with and perspective on JavaScript frameworks, including ES6, jQuery
- Familiarity with and perspective on server side languages, including PHP
- Familiarity with and perspective on content management systems, including WordPress
- Familiarity with database technologies
- Excellent verbal communication skills

Salary : $74,600 - $94,500
