Scheduler

DigitalPath is expanding our Scheduling team! We are seeking a dynamic and customer-service oriented Scheduler.

As a Scheduler for our company, you will play a vital role in efficiently coordinating installations and service calls across Northern California, with a significant focus on small rural and mountain communities. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with exceptional spatial intelligence to help optimize routes, minimize travel times, and ensure timely service delivery.

Starting compensation range is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience. This is a full-time nonexempt hourly position reporting directly to our Scheduling Supervisor. Our schedulers work on-site Mon-Fri 9am-6pm at our Chico, CA headquarters.

As a Scheduler, your daily work will consist of:

• Scheduling daily routes for Field Technicians.
• Optimizing existing daily routes for efficient workflow of Field Technicians.
• Communicating regularly with customers and Field Technicians by email, chat, text, and/or phone.
• Documenting customer and Field Technician interactions within our CRM systems.
• Providing administrative support during times of low scheduling activity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Route Optimization: Utilize your spatial intelligence to plan and optimize installation and service routes, taking into account the unique geographical challenges of rural and mountainous areas. Identify patterns and outliers in route planning to improve efficiency.
• Visual Mapping: Mentally retain visual information about map layouts, street locations, and geographical features to facilitate efficient scheduling and route planning.
• Communication: Collaborate effectively with field teams, technicians, and clients to ensure clear communication of scheduling details, directions, and any changes to the schedule.
• Problem Solving: Quickly adapt to unexpected challenges and make real-time adjustments to schedules to accommodate urgent service calls or unforeseen issues.
• Data Analysis: Utilize data and analytics tools to identify trends, improve scheduling processes, and make data-driven decisions to enhance efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in a fast-paced customer service environment working in a scheduling, dispatching, or related position.
• Exceptional spatial intelligence and the ability to mentally retain and manipulate visual information about maps and geographical locations.
• Familiarity with Northern California's rural and mountainous geography is a plus.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft 365 Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, outliers, and opportunities for route optimization.
• Proficiency in using mapping software.
• Proficient and clear communication in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Competence in understanding, interpreting, and communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas, and instructions.
• Demonstrated efficiency prioritizing competing demands and deadlines in a fast – paced environment.
• Due to the critical nature of supporting critical wildfire reporting networks, consistently working a standard 40-hour weekly schedule is required.

Physical requirements:

• This position requires you to work in an office utilizing a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
• While performing duties of this job, employee is required to sit for prolonged periods of time while using a computer, keyboard, and telephone.
• This job requires regular talking, hearing, standing, reaching with hands and arms. Specific vision requirements for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Will be required to satisfactorily complete a post offer pre-employment background check, physical, and drug/alcohol screening, including marijuana.
