Corporate Controller

We are seeking a Corporate Controller to join our global accounting team during an exciting time for Digital Turbine. Recent acquisitions, organic growth and a dynamic culture will provide the right person with a unique opportunity to help build a world class, global accounting function. The Corporate Controller will report to the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO).

Responsibilities for the Corporate Controller:

• Lead the monthly and quarterly close process, including coordination with international teams
• Coordinate the preparation and review of month and quarter end financial reporting packages to support internal controls
• Work closely with international teams and Tax to identify intercompany relationships and develop processes to ensure accurate reporting and eliminations
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of external financial statements, including cash flows and the statement of equity
• Working with the team, prepare technical accounting memos as needed and lead the monitoring and implementation of new standards
• Engage with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Investor Relations, FP&A, and Tax) on recurring reporting matters and ad hoc issues
• Oversight of equity accounting and administration, including the Company’s outside service provider
• Lead and participate in enterprise wide initiatives, including working capital management, driving cost efficiencies, contract negotiations and automation efforts
• Assist with purchase accounting for acquisitions as needed
• Lead process improvements for the Company’s financial close and reporting process to drive efficiency and improve internal controls
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, leading practices and procedures to ensure US GAAP compliance across our global operations
• Support the external audit and management testing of internal controls as needed

Basic Qualifications of the Corporate Controller:

• Bachelor’s Degree, with emphasis in Accounting or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant- CPA
• 12 years of Accounting or Finance experience, including:
  • 4 years of public accounting experience
  • 5 years of experience in a public company setting
  • 2 yeas of direct responsibility overseeing a global consolidation
• Comprehensive understanding of financial accounting and reporting under US GAAP and SEC rules
• Deep technical accounting knowledge, with experience assessing accounting standards and their application

Preferred Qualifications of the Corporate Controller:

• Experience in the SaaS technology space and in shared services environments
• Prior work in the implementation of accounting systems
• Previous experience with Host Analytics Planful
• Adept at prioritization, responsiveness and understanding a sense of urgency with an ability to balance multiple projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work across functions
• Ability to interact & engage with all levels of the organization
• Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment; Must have ability to roll up his/her sleeves and still enjoy the work
• Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
• Unquestionable integrity and discretion and proven success in developing and leading a team of people
