Responsibilities
- Supports various community programs and projects
- Manage community outreach programs effectively and efficiently
- Facilitating various projects and programs
- Plans events and arranges presentations as required by local agencies
- Responsible for using ServSafe food handling guidelines and following USDA guidelines
- Creates lists of items needed by clients that are not provided by donor community partners
- Interviews clients, completes client intake, and makes decisions, with authorized parameters, regarding emergency funds for utilities and rental assistance
- Demonstrates leadership, creativity, teamwork and a basic understanding of differences among cultures.
- Assists with the recruitment and supervision of caring volunteers to support services as needed.
- Assists with program events as needed- set up, registrations and health screenings.
- Assists department as requested
- Responsible to keep working area organized;and clean including food storage area, refrigerators and freezers. Prioritizes work load, and provides a clean attractive environment that is welcoming to visitors
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in health service provider or community-based health organization
- AA degree in health related area preferred, or comparable experience in lieu of degree will be accepted
- Driver License - DRV LIC
- ServSafe Certification required. ( 90 days to obtain from start date)
Special Skills:
- Fluent in Spanish/English languages
