Job Summary
Dock associates plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily duties of the loading bay area within our warehouse. This position is responsible for helping out with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse and possess strong leadership skills to help a team member in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment, to facilitate the movement of goods within the dock area.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all orders are picked accurately and efficiently using RF scanners and order pickers.
- Conduct regular inspections of loading equipment and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained.
- Cleaning restrooms and buffing floors
Requirements
- Previous experience as a warehouse assoc or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is essential.
- Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, order picking, and inventory management processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands associated with warehouse work.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and other warehouse technology is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership qualities with a focus on team development and safety compliance.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
