Job Summary for Production Manager:

The Production manager is responsible for all daily aspects of leading a safe, efficient and motivated production and operation’s team. In addition to this a constant focus on customer satisfaction and on time performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Production Manager::

• Coordinate production activities across multiple shifts with plant floor supervision to insure and maintain a continual production flow in an effective manner to meet customer deadlines and deliveries.
• Provides daily support, direction, development and leadership to all supervisors by conducting regular meetings and sharing critical information.
• Implement and sustain 6S program for production activities.
• Fosters a culture of expertise, motivation, improvement, and accountability in their team by demonstrating a mentor and coach mentality.
• Maintaining amiable relationship with the customer base.
• Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures by understanding P&L statements and factors that positively and negatively affect them.
• Analyze and clearly communicate workforce requirements.
• Quality and process improvement oriented.
• Promote and enforce awareness and following of all safety policies by members of the manufacturing team to provide a safe workplace for our employees.
• Able to handle stress and prioritize projects with frequently changing production needs in a positive manner.
• Continual evaluation of our production leaders to insure they are assigned and understand their roles and responsibilities that directly align with Dimar’s mission, business goals and objectives.
• Insure that customer service, customer feedback and satisfaction is continually reviewed, understood and focused upon by all production team members.

Supervisory Responsibility for Production Manager: :

This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

Required Experience and Education for Production Manager: :

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years production management experience in a metal fabrication manufacturing environment.
• Previous P&L responsibility.
• Supervisory experience for a minimum of 50 people in a fast paced environment.

Work Environment for Production Manager: :

Machine shop work environment; dust, grease and metal shavings common. Must comply with all safety requirements when on the shop floor including steel toed boots/shoes; safety glasses; and when required, hearing and/or ear protection

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
