What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Specialist position at Dimation Inc.?
Responsible for ensuring that products and services meet established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance by working closely with the production department. Conduct internal audits and prepare for annual compliance re-certifications. Make certain that documentation requirements are met in support of on-time delivery and quality goals. Consult with management to resolve compliance, production, and efficiency issues and lead the effort to identify and correct root cause.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Draft and/or implement quality assurance policies and procedures in accordance with AS9100 compliance standards
- Lead annual audit process to ensure successful re-certification
- Identify, conduct and manage training records to meet compliance standards
- Assure ongoing compliance with internal processes and industry regulatory requirements
- Document internal audits and other compliance activities
- Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external auditors
- Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Review and recommend/implement process improvements to mistake-proof operations processes
- Collect and compile statistical data and analyze to identify areas for improvement
- Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product standards
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues. Lead efforts to develop/monitor corrective and preventive action plans
- Communicate with customers regarding product performance, certification and related activities
- Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
Performs other duties as assigned and as needed.
Requires: Knowledge of electronic parts and electronic manufacturing processes used in the construction of electronic assemblies. Knowledge of the tools, concepts, and methodologies typical of the Quality Assurance background. Quality inspection, auditing, and testing experience. Strong ISO9001 Quality System knowledge.
Preferred qualifications: AS9100 knowledge. Bachelor's degree. Certifications are an advantage (Quality auditor, Quality engineer, Six Sigma, LEAN
