Job DescriptionPOSITION RESPONSIBILITY: The Collision Center General Manager is responsible for and will be held accountable for the successful operation of the entire Collision Center. S/he will develop and execute strategic business plans for the Collision Center, ensuring sustainable profitability and continued growth. The General Manager will accomplish all objectives through planning, motivating, and coordinating the activities of all departments, and developing business through insurance adjusters, customers, and other sources to ensure an adequate sales volume, provide a reasonable department operating profit and maintain customer satisfaction, while controlling expenses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
- To model by example the Company’s mission statement by being an empowered, passionate and positive associate who provides exceptional personalized service to the Company’s guests and community. To live by the Standards of Excellence set forth by Dimmitt Automotive Group.
- Plan the Collision Center operations for the coming year and report the plan to the CEO and/or stockholders for approval.
- Obtain, review and recommend improvements for monthly forecasts and plans.
- Formulate policies and establish procedures for all training programs and monitor their effectiveness.
- Ensures compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Manage all Collision Center personnel functions, to include: interviewing, hiring, measuring and evaluating performance, recognizing accomplishments, and termination.
- Address escalated customer service matters in a timely manner.
- Communicate management's policies and procedures to all employees and ensure that they are understood and followed.
- Provide enthusiastic leadership to shape employees' attitudes and build morale.
- Establish harmony and teamwork among departments.
- Conduct managers' meetings weekly.
- Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the Collision Center.
- Ensure quality control of the product delivered by Service Technicians.
- Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of Collision Center Staff.
- Review and approve compensation plans for all employees accordingly with industry standards and market trends.
- Monitor Associate payroll records.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and developments pertaining to SOP.
- Conduct yearly performance appraisals.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training
Five years’ experience managing operations of a Certified Collision Center
Proven record of the ability to sustain profitability and market growth
Working knowledge of body repair methods
Excellent communication and managerial skills
Valid in-state Driver's license and clean driving record
High School diploma or the equivalent
