What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ice Rink Attendant position at Dimond Center Holdings?
The Dimond Center is looking to add to our Ice Rink and Bowling Alley team. These part- and full-time positions will report directly to the manager of the bowling alley and ice rink and will assist in day-to-day operations to keep the venue clean, safe, and attractive. We are a drug-free workplace and these front-line positions necessitate a clean and professional appearance and a positive attitude. Strong customer service skills are a must.
All staff will be cross trained to work the Bowling Alley as well. This position requires the ability to obtain a TAP card (TAP®certification) to serve alcohol at our bowling alley bar. You must be 21 years or older to obtain this certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide bowling guests with efficient, courteous customer service.
- Maximize the utilization of facilities and equipment through efficient control of customer flow.
- Issue lanes to guests and assist with special events/promotions.
- Maintain procedures for credit control, handling of financial transactions, and security of monies.
- Works in conjunction with the other departments on promotions, property needs along with any food and beverage accommodations requested.
- Assists the Beverage team with public events held in the adjoining event space when needed.
- Sharpen Ice Skates as needed.
- Retrieve, transport, and store parts and supplies.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of parts storage and workshop areas.
- Assist mechanics as needed with repair duties.
- Follow safety procedures related equipment operation and use of chemicals.
- Inspect facility and public areas for cleanliness and appearance on a daily basis.
- Follows and ensures that Policies and Procedures are followed.
- Ensures control/protection of company assets.
- Work nights, weekends ,and holidays as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Exceptional guest service skills are required.
- Knowledgeable in bowling operations and reservation systems preferred.
- Must be customer service oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment dealing with sensitive issues and maintain confidentially with strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts.
- Proven intermediate skills in Windows, MS Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and experience with database systems. Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, charts, forms and other information and instructions.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid TAP card.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement with the ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift. There are no adverse conditions as this is an indoor venue. Hours of operation vary slightly but are typically 1pm to 9pm.
