What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Audit Analyst position at Dine Brands Global?
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs operational and IT internal audits and reviews
- Uses analysis, data analytics, inquiries and other tests to identify opportunities to enhance internal controls and to improve operational effectiveness
- Develops recommendations to address issues identified
- Performs franchise restaurant audits for all brands
- Uses data analytics and analysis to verify sales reported by franchisees and compliance to the franchise agreement
- Assists other departments (Operations, Legal, Finance, and IT) to resolve issues identified during the franchise restaurant audit process
- As Dine Brands is a public company, assists in the annual audit by performing Sarbanes-Oxley 404 internal control documentation and testing
- Assists in the preparation of audit reports and storyboards to document internal audit results
- Investigates opportunities to enhance audit testing through automation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, Business or related discipline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong project management skills including the ability to multi-task and shift priorities
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools (MicroStrategy, etc.) and Microsoft office applications, (Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 – 2 years internal audit experience or equivalent accounting experience in restaurant or retail industry
- CPA, CIA or equivalent certification
