Job Summary::
This contractor and subcontractor shall abide by the requirements of 41 CFR 60–1.4(a), 60–300.5(a) and 60–741.5(a). - EMC Avamar Backup Specialist - Person or persons filling this position shall have at least four (4) years of direct experience in day-to-day administration of and maintaining an enterprise level data backup & recovery solution in a production environment, EMC Data Domain storage administration experience, designing and implementing disaster recovery plans, including robust DR testing. Prefer specific experience with Avamar, and SANs (EMC preferred). The person in this role shall be responsible for implementing and guaranteeing process and systems are in a place to deliver highly available storage platforms, ensuring backup systems/files are reliable, designing and implementing disaster recovery plans, including robust DR testing. Clarity on Dell Avamar IDPA w/ Data Domain (BEP has 2x IDPA 8300 currently), backup administrator should have experience managing operating systems that they will be backing up or at least a thorough understanding of how they operate, (i.e. Windows primarily – file servers, databases (SQL & Oracle), MS Exchange, Active Directory, and Linux). This position requires the incumbent holds a current certification Dell Avamar Specialist – Systems Administrator Certification, Microsoft Level Certification for Server (MCSA 2016 or the current Microsoft Hybrid Server Certification.
