Job Posting for In-House Real Estate Attorney at Direct Counsel
Direct Counsel is looking for a Senior Attorney for an In-House Real Estate position with a prominent Real Estate Company. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 8 years of experience and versed in transactional work, specifically in purchase & sale agreements, loan documents, leases/amendments and various other contracts. The ideal senior real estate attorney will possess the ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment with minimal supervision to accomplish required objectives within established deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Draft, prepare, review and analyze appropriate leasing and other legal documents.
Advocate the Company’s positions on essential lease, operating, and corporate issues in leases, subordination /non-disturbance agreements, estoppels, license agreements, amendments and other related contracts.
Provide counsel and handle daily issues regarding the company's leases and the interpretation and enforcement of lease provisions.
Negotiate the company’s position with opposing counsel and landlords' representatives for new leases, ancillary lease documentation, letter agreements, lease amendments, subleases, assignments and other related contracts.
Qualifications:
8 years of corporate practice with focus on real estate
Excellent academic credentials
Licensed and in good standing in California
Prior experience working in the real estate or corporate practice group of a large law firm or sophisticated boutique firm
Outstanding references
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
