JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate development and maintenance of contracts, which includes maintaining current contract product pricing. The Contracts Manager will also prepare market research and analysis as required.
Essential Functions

1. Prepare, review and monitor contracts to ensure compliance of appropriate guidelines and regulations.
2. Interpret policies and procedures according to federal regulations and ensure DCS meets all legal contracting requirements.
3. Prepare, organize and maintain contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance.
4. Analyze contract requirements, special provisions, term and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, internal corporate policies and departmental procedures.
5. Maintain and updates spreadsheets and databases for all contracts.
6. Audit files for each contract, which will include the original contract, all correspondence, changes, deviations, amendments or clarifications.
7. Maintain and update as necessary product pricing.
8. Gather, interpret, analyze and present information as required.
9. Work closely with other departments to ensure contract compliance.
10. Perform special contracting projects as required.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct reports.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to move about, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, during day shift hours. Business meetings and customer activities may occasionally require work be conducted after hours or on weekends.
Travel
Travel up to 30% may be required for this position.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related field
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant work experience; pharmaceutical experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including an advanced level of Excel.
- High level of reading, comprehension and dissemination of information.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; high attention to detail.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and decision-making skills and maintain the confidential nature of client contracts.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
