It is the purpose of the TM to generate leads in the building materials market and to inform prospects of the products and services offered by our manufacturing facility. The TM will be ultimately responsible to pick up new accounts in order to meet and/or exceed budgeted sales goals.If and when a current account base is assigned to the one in this position, this person will be responsible for these accounts in the way of informing them of changes, new products, coming to solutions for critical issues, and finding ways to assist the client in growing their business.As a Territory Manager and to be successful, the right person should possess certain talents such as:•An internal, consistent drive to succeed•Competitive spirit•The ability to set goals every day and to prioritize them•A strategic thinker with a business acumen•Ethically persuasive•Empathetic to customer concerns•Talent for building lasting relationships•Perseverance during difficult timesIn addition to these natural talents, certain skills are also needed.
