We are currently hiring a Production Scheduler that will be responsible for coordinating and developing production schedules on a daily or weekly basis to meet goals at the best value for the company.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate production planning and scheduling for on-time delivery.
• Validate jobs for creating and maintaining schedules.
• Responsible for the flow of order data through the ERP system including job creation/monitoring/reporting.
• Troubleshooting issues related to job completion including resolving and correcting problems with inventory discrepancies.
• Conduct and support cycle count program.
• Monitor WIP reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Review production specifications, identify, and report plant capacity constraints.
• Resolve production, manpower and material shortage problems quickly in an order of priority.
• Work with the manager to execute and implement process improvements.
• Ensure that materials and equipment are pre-arranged for production.
• Review the open sales orders with the customer service/sales and production team to determine priorities and schedules.
• Monitor execution of job orders and adjust job schedules to meet the deadlines.
• Communicate the status of sales orders to customer service/sales on regular basis.
• Analyze and manage safety stocks for work-in-process, Finished Goods
• Uses production planning and scheduling to limit materials shortages
• Responsible for communication and assisting managers and co-workers.

Job Requirements: Education and skills requirements:

• 3 years’ experience of scheduling in a production or manufacturing environment or experience in cable and wire industry.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret routine instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Organized with the ability to problem solve in an industrial environment.
• Ability to operate material movement and packaging equipment.
