Job Description
TEAM LEADER POSITION WITH POTENTIAL TO EVOLVE INTO AN ENTRY LEVEL SUPERVISORY POSITION IN FUTURE. AS TEAM LEADER, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO “ROLL UP YOUR SLEEVES” AND WORK ALONG BESIDE YOUR ASSIGNED DRIVERS TO ENSURE FREIGHT IS SORTED, LOADED AND TRUCKS OFF THE DOCK IN A TIMELY MANNER TO MEET ON TIME DELIVERY SCHEDULES EACH DAY.
WORK MON-FRI, OCCASIONAL WEEKENDS.
MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE VANS AND BOX TRUCKS, NO CDL REQUIRED. PREFER 1 YEAR PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN DELIVERY.

- Promote safety
- Train and hold drivers accountable for professional customer service, on-time delivery, safe driving skills, scanning, vehicle maintenance reporting, professional appearance, proper business etiquette and communication skills
- Runs routes as required
- Assist w/unloading vendor freight and performing receipt scan of incoming merchandise
- Perform route/driver audits

JOB DESCRIPTION
Operates gas or diesel vehicle on routes for courier delivery of customer product. Observes state and city speed and safety regulations and company customer service and safety policies. Serves as corporate liaison of customer service to our customer base.
Serve as an On-Call backup driver day or night to fill in for vacant routes as necessary.
Assist with new employee training of scheduled routes and procedures.
Assist the Terminal with any and all daily task associated with running a proficient and effective Operation. This includes clerical and administrative duties as well as physical duties associated with dock/warehouse work and running routes.
This position is responsible for overseeing, coordinating and performing all activities associated with last mile delivery routes. Careful follow-up is essential to ensure that ALL drivers have the correct items scheduled for delivery on their routes. Also responsible for ensuring that the drivers have the proper equipment for safety and accurately performing their deliveries including scanner, hand-trucks, truck locks, route sheets, customer signature sheets, etc. Monitor and expedite ALL loading, delivery and return processes to minimize man-hour expense.
Physical Requirements:
This job includes lifting, bending, carrying, kneeling, maneuvering, reaching and pushing/pulling requirements of a maximum of 70 pounds. Driving 16' and 24' Box Truck Drivers requires ability to obtain a valid DOT medical card. Hearing and vision need to be correctable to acceptable DOT standards. Employee is required to stand, stoop, walk intermittently, although intermittent and depending on the route or in warehouse, is required on a consistent level. Running does not apply to this position. However, a sense of urgency is necessary.
