Our client is seeking a Director of Technology to join their Valuations Group in Chicago. This role is accountable for leading the Technology strategy and execution for a rapidly growing industry-leading financial valuations business unit of a global company. 

This is a new leadership role as they are building their Technology capabilities for their Valuations Group. This is an opportunity to hire, groom, and build your Technology team to support operations.

Their advisory services include mergers and acquisitions, debt advisory, growth equity, and restructuring for the mid-market. • Working with the Valuations Group’s business Leaders to develop the annual technology strategy and prioritized roadmap. 
• Overseeing the execution of Technology initiatives and guiding technology operations.
• Hiring, building, and mentoring a top-performing Technology team that delivers industry-leading technology solutions.  

Job brief:

Our client is looking for an experienced Technology Director to oversee the IT functions in their Valuations Group. You will work with business leaders to develop an annual Technology strategy, implement new IT solutions, and manage technology operations. 

We are looking for a Technology leader who is rooted in business applications, data, and analytics and has strong business acumen. Your role also includes interacting with business leaders to gather and prioritize initiatives and building and leading a high-performing Technology team. 

Responsibilities:

• Work with business leaders to develop an annual technology strategy and prioritized roadmap
• Develop a business and data architecture that will support future growth and scale
• Work with Business leaders to identify business solutions to streamline and automate business operations
• Analyze business requirements to develop leading technology solutions
• Integrate business applications and analytic solutions which support the business
• Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by the leadership team
• Hire, lead, and mentor a Technology team that delivers leading Technology solutions
• Provide the business with data and analytics to make informed decisions and support operations. 
• Manage the Technology budget and planning process
• Develop strategic relationships with top-performing and cost-effective Consulting, Software, and Hardware partners and vendors.

• Proven leadership skills as a manager or director with at least 10 years of experience in the analysis, implementation, and evaluation of Technology systems and their applications.
• Experience in developing and planning a technology budget
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication abilities
• BSc/BA in computer science, engineering, or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus
• Experience implementing Data and Analytic solutions and KPIs
• Experience implementing workflow and business rules-driven solutions
• Experience with Salesforce a plus
