DIRECTV is seeking a Software Developer responsible developing and maintaining robust data platforms, creating automations, developing and supporting enterprise applications and databases, and providing actionable insights to drive business decisions. The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and to work independently are crucial. The Software Developer will possess proficiency in Python and SQL, with a proven track record of leveraging these tools to analyze complex data sets, design automation, and develop application solutions to business needs. Experience in application development as well as accessing, unpacking, and integrating data from APIs is essential.
Here's what you’ll do:
- Develop business applications and data platform solutions utilizing Python.
- Develop and maintain advanced analytics data using Python and SQL.
- Access and integrate data from various APIs.
- Design and implement automated data pipelines.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on major language platforms, e.g., Python (especially in pandas, SQL connector, flask, and other function modules), SQL (especially in Snowflake and MySQL syntax and functions), AWS tools, and MySQL.
- Experience with accessing and integrating data from APIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Linux/Bash, PHP, and Java experience a plus.
- Experience with other programming languages like HTML, CSS and JavaScript preferred.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
- Experience in a similar role in a fast-paced environment preferred.
- May require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer’s proprietary data. Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction will be considered for employment in accordance with local ordinances and state law.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Low (N1): $105,830 - $158,650
Mid (N2): $111,400 - $167,000
High (N3): $122,540 - $183,700
Top (N4): $128,110 - $192,050
