As an experienced continual service improvement and service transition professional, you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as we begin to mold the operations organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Management in maintaining DIRECTV corporate policies, while creating a positive and productive work environment.
- Assist Management, Mission Video Operations Center, and LABC Tech Operations in assessing the health of equipment and alert appropriate parties when such equipment needs maintenance, upgrades, and or replacement.
- Assist in implementing a professional security administration policy for all technical systems and sub-systems including hardware and software access.
- Oversee daily LIVE Sporting and PPV Events.
- Monitor transmission feeds for audio/visual impairments and content issues.
- Manually trigger sports blackouts on daily LIVE Sporting Events and playbacks.
- Perform daily Electronic Program Guide (EPG) scans and routine error monitoring checks.
- Escalate discrepancies to proper departments.
- Reconcile play-lists to channel mapping and program guides and communicates potential discrepancies to proper departments.
- Take direction from and provide input to Broadcast Operations Shift Professional
- Follow procedures to authenticate, troubleshoot, and restore broadcast reception.
- Create and maintain chronological trouble tickets concerning on-air issues and maintenance activities.
- Follow-up with Mission about providers broadcast status and restoral time.

- Technical understanding with the ability to translate into business requirements
- Able to be creative and innovative with service quality, improvement, and solutions
- Must have a good general understanding of all Sports (MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, Soccer, Cricket, GOLF, Tennis as well as other professional sports).
- Ability to influence and motivate team
- Must be flexible to support day, evening, and overnight shifts, to include weekends and holidays
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Relationship management and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to bring together and work with a team with varied backgrounds, i.e., Technical and business representatives
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or related discipline required
- Minimum of 5 years working experience working in Media distribution or other related industry in operations or continuous improvement.
- Experience leading problem solving, and process improvement efforts required.

Salary Range
- Our Specialist-Video Ops can earn between $57,800 to $115,700 depending on experience and geographic location. Not to mention all of the other amazing rewards that working at DIRECTV offers.
