OVERVIEW OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

What you get to do: The primary goal of Event and Marketing Associate is to maximize revenues and profitability within the restaurant while keeping abreast of current market trends, Dirty Habit standards/directives, and practice total asset management.
Your day-to-day:
DEPARTMENTAL PERFORMANCE:
- Effectively sell and service Events and Private Dining for assigned markets. Effectively manage the pipeline of inquiries through management of incoming leads to proactive selling techniques
- Qualify potential business and close sales by overcoming objections and maximizing the value of the restaurant and offerings.
- Build/maintain relationships with current and past clients
- Write effective contracts and Banquet Event Orders to communicate appropriately with clients and the internal F&B team
- Create and execute annual and quarterly marketing plans
- Develop and execute growth strategies and action plans
- Work in conjunction with the Hotel Sales and Catering Department to maximize exposure of Dirty Habit
- Work in conjunction with F&B Management team for successful preparation and execution of events and activations
- Monitor and communicate industry trends within the market place
- Ensure proper adoption and utilization of Tripleseat and efficient departmental systems
COMMUNICATION PERFORMANCE:
- Attend weekly restaurant managers’ meetings and BEO Meetings
- Support communication and cross-selling between hotel/restaurant sales teams
- Participate in sales blitzes
- Share industry trends, strategies, and news with on-site hotel/restaurant teams
MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA
- Design Briefs, Complete and submit detailed and accurate design briefs to enhance our marketing collateral to raise awareness of the events and promotions
- Keep an accurate and realistic timeline while submitting design briefs to allow enough lead time for promotion
- Marketing Collateral, Work with the design team to create eye-catching, informative collateral pieces that enhance and complement the brand Develop new and creative pieces of marketing collateral
- Event Promo Graphics Complete and submit design briefs for all events and promotions
- Work with artists and/or their management teams to create a piece that satisfies their needs while still maintaining the brands within Dirty HabitCreate graphics that give each event and promo their own identity
Website
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the website
- Consistently fill each monthly calendar with events and promotions
SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATION
- Assist in developing creative and relevant social media campaigns on all forms of Social media; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and others in an ongoing effort to boost traffic, increase revenue and attain overall Social goals
- Manage all Social channels and provide analytics on the responsiveness of Social campaigns and programming monthly
- Develop and Execute Social Media plan
Specific experience we're seeking:
- We are seeking someone with great sales savvy and know-how
- Ideally, you have 3-5 years of event sales or catering sales experience in a similar environment
- Recent knowledge and use of Tripleseat or CRM Software is a plus
- Ability to work a varied work schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays as needed)
- Ability to think creatively and adapt to the dynamic needs of the restaurantDetail oriented
- with the ability to manage multiple projects from inception through execution
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent command of the English language both writing and verbal communication skills, computer literacy, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite is required
- Self-starter with both a collaborative and hands-on approach

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience required. Education in Event Management, Marketing, or applicable field preferred.

Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
