Mitigation Technician (Entry Level)
Job Description
As a Mitigation Technician, you will primarily be responsible for providing various disaster recovery services to residential and commercial clients. You will be responding to active disaster losses, setting up appropriate equipment, completing detailed file work, removing damaged building materials, and maintaining direct customer communication. This will require excellent organizational skills and accuracy, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly.
Job Duties:
As a Mitigation Technician, you will be responsible for assisting your immediate supervisor in coordinating all facets of the mitigation and restoration of the project including:
Water mitigation / fire damage restoration.
Setting, monitoring, and moving equipment needed for water extraction and drying of premises, including reading and recording data.
Demolition of property and debris removal, mold remediation, flood cleanup, and structural and content cleaning.
Maintaining a neat and orderly worksite and obeying all safety rules and regulations in order to prevent work hazards.
Maintaining company vehicle in a clean and organized fashion; ensuring it is stocked with the equipment and supplies necessary to perform all work required at designated job sites.
Job Skills:
Experience with water/fire/smoke damage, mold remediation, and any other emergency/disaster recovery is recommended, but will train the right candidate.
Safety and customer service oriented.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
Willing to participate in an on-call rotation and other after hours, evenings and weekend work as needed, and willing to answer calls at all times.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Refrain from smoking at job sites, and abstain from any drugs or alcohol during work hours.
Must be reliable, dependable, and flexible.
Clean-cut, professional appearance.
Must have a strong work ethic and an eye for detail.
